Wandering in Bach’s Country (and Beyond)
Professor Michael Dicker, Illinois State University School of Music, will give a presentation entitled, “Wandering in Bach’s Country (and Beyond)” at 4:30 p.m. at the University Club in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. Professor Dicker will take us on a European musicological travelogue focusing on regions that were home to Bach and Mozart. The story begins in Eisenach and heads through Arnstadt, Wiemar, Köthen and Leipzig. We also visit Dresden and Berlin. A few photos in Prague will also be shown and the city talked about (thanks to Mozart).
All faculty, staff, annuitants and guests are welcome to join us at the University Club from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. this Friday in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. You need not be a University Club member to attend. Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found at our website, http://uclub.illinoisstate.edu/. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the ISU Provost and President. In addition, snacks and liquid refreshments are available at each meeting.
