The Ruby-Throated Hummingbird-Up Close and Personal
Dave Peters, will present a talk entitled, “The Ruby-Throated Hummingbird-Up Close and Personal” at 4:30 p.m. at the University Club in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. We are all familiar with the ruby-throated hummingbird, a very widely distributed hummingbird that is common in the Midwest and in the eastern United States. Mr. Peters will give us an in depth look at the physical traits of this amazing tiny bird. He has taken thousands of photos last summer and you will see only the very best closeups. Research on various aspects of the hummingbird’s life history will be shared as well as the story of this little bird’s unbelievable feat of migration.
All faculty, staff, annuitants and other members of the University community are welcome to join us at the University Club from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. You need not be a University Club member to attend. Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found at our website. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the ISU Provost and President. In addition, snacks and liquid refreshments are available at each meeting.
