Can fluctuations in Arctic sea ice cover influence our weather?
Dr. Dagmar Budikova, Professor and Chair, Department of Geology, Geography and the Environment, will present a talk at 4:30 p.m. at the University Club in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. Dr. Budikova recently published a paper that has garnered national attention relating Arctic Ocean sea ice to heat wave frequency in the United States. She will discuss these data and the increasing concern about global climate change.
