Enhancing Nursing Workforce Diversity
Dr. Denise Wilson, Associate Dean for Academics, Mennonite College of Nursing will discuss the Nursing Workforce Diversity (NWD) and Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW) grants that the College has recently received at 4:30 p.m. at the University Club in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. Mennonite College of Nursing is the fortunate recipient of these two federal grants, one focusing on increasing nursing workforce diversity and another focusing on increasing preparation of nurse practitioners to care for rural and underserved populations. Dr. Denise Wilson, Associate Dean for Academics, as primary writer of both grants, will provide an overview of what MCN hopes to accomplish with the grant funds and what this might mean for the future of nursing.
All faculty, staff, annuitants and guests are welcome to join us at the University Club from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. this Friday in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center. You need not be a University Club member to attend. Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found at our website, http://uclub.illinoisstate.edu/.
