Dr Mark Walbert – “Oh, the (Tech) Things I’ve Seen”
Dr. Mark Walbert, Chief Academic Technology Officer, will present a talk entitled, “Oh, the (Tech) Things I’ve Seen”, at 4:30 p.m. at the University Club in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center.
Dr Walbert arrived at Illinois State University as an Assistant Professor of Economics in 1984. He served as director of Faculty Technology Support from 2000 to 2003 before joining the Provost’s Office. He has oversight responsibility for the Office of Academic Technologies (OAT), whose units include Learning Spaces and Audio/Video Technology, TechZone & Student Technologies, the Center for Learning and Technology (with Assistant Vice President for Academic Administration), and the academic technology support units in each of the six Colleges, Milner Library, and EMAS. Dr. Walbert will retire at the end of June after 36 years of service to ISU. He will talk about the many changes to technologies and to the organization of technology services on campus during his long tenure here.
Everyone from the Illinois State University community is welcome including all staff, faculty, annuitants, graduate students and other members of the University. You need not be a University Club member to attend. Please join us at the University Club from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the Founders Suite in the Bone Student Center.
