Virtual Graphic Design Internship Fair
Virtual Graphic Design Internship Fair: Tuesday, March 23, 2021, 9:30 a.m.-noon
To participate and receive a Zoom link, email Graphic Design Professor Archana Shekara at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 1, 2021.
The annual Graphic Design Internship Fair will be held virtually during the spring of 2021 to help students gain professional practice experience in a safe, remote way. Graphic Design internships are strongly recommended for all junior and senior students majoring in Graphic Design (GD). Students must register in advance to participate and must be majoring in Graphic Design and be currently enrolled in or have completed our GD Typography course (ART 323) or something equivalent to participate in the GD Internship Fair.
During the event, students will meet potential clients from Illinois State and the Bloomington-Normal community, and present their portfolio through Zoom. The attire for this event is business casual clothing. Each student gets 20 minutes to meet clients and present their portfolio by sharing their screen.
It is recommended that students share their resumes with potential clients after each interview in a “thank you” email. Any internships gained through this virtual fair must be registered for as an academic art course. To register your internship as an academic course, contact Art@IllinoisState.edu. Those who gain internships will be required to meet with Graphic Design Professor Archana Shekara for monthly meetings from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. These meetings will guide/assist you to excel in your internship.
