ISU alumni, Ms. Julie Oost, Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Contracts at Peerless Network Inc. will be visiting us for this month’s special UWE luncheon! Come and join us! Pizza and drinks provided.
-Learn about the telecommunications & electricity industries
-Discover the benefits of a career in regulatory economics
-Gain knowledge about how economics is used on the job.
-Understand analysis in a regulatory framework

Illinois State University has been chosen as one of twenty universities to take part in a national initiative to promote success for women as economics majors. The Undergraduate Women in Economics Challenge (UWE) is a three-year project to identify and implement best practice strategies designed to encourage women in introductory economics courses to stay in the major. The program is led by economists at Harvard University, administered by the National Bureau of Economic Research, and funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
