Date:
Thursday, February 25th
Time:
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Event Description

This year’s Birds Give Back is giving alumni and friends a unique opportunity to hear what it has been like as a student during a global pandemic. The webinar, What’s It Like to be a Redbird These Days?, will give participants a chance to hear directly from Redbird students about life in the residence halls, managing new academic experiences, and maintaining socially distanced social lives.

Join Assistant Vice President for the Division of Student Affairs Danielle Miller-Schuster ’97, M.S. ’98, Ph.D. ’14, as she discusses the stories of a pandemic’s impact on life as a student and how perspectives of the world and how to thrive in it have changed. This includes how the search for the perfect college by one freshman, student teaching with fluid models, playing sports, and managing high-stress environments. Meet our student panelists before the event too!

This is a free event. Register online prior to the event to receive access. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited.

The virtual event is part of the third-annual Birds Give Back which will attempt to reach 2,021 gifts in a 24-hour period to show Redbirds we’ve got their backs in 2021. Learn more about the day of giving through the Birds Give Back website.
