Writer, translator, editor Chloe García Roberts in Conversation, pt. 1 of 2 events

Acclaimed Mexican-American writer, translator, and deputy editor of Harvard Review Chloe García Roberts will visit Illinois State University on October 24 to celebrate and discuss her new book Fire Eater: A Translator’s Theology (co•im•press, 2024) and her multiple professional roles.

Both of the events are on Thursday, October 24, at University Galleries:
- At 11 a.m., García Roberts will be in conversation with Dr. Steve Halle, director of the Publications Unit, about her roles as a writer, translator, and deputy editor of Harvard Review. There will be a question-and-answer period afterward.
- At 5 p.m., García Roberts will give a reading from Fire Eater: A Translator’s Theology. The reading will be followed by a question-and-answer session and book signing. Fire Eater will be available for purchase from the publisher in mid-October with options for pick-up at the event.
Both events are part of the PubUnit Presents event series hosted by the Publications Unit. Both events are free and open to the public.
