Join John Louis Lucaites, Provost Professor of Rhetoric and English emeritus at Indiana University, via Zoom on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6 –7:15 P.M. CST for "A Museum Without Walls: Photo Exhibitions and Civic Spectatorship.” In this presentation, Lucaites explores the ways in which the landscape for the theory and practice of photography are changing by drawing upon Andre Malraux’s notion of “a museum without walls” as a lens through which to examine the contemporary display of photo exhibitions as they contribute to democratic politics.
