The facility contains state-of-the-art meeting rooms for alumni, as well as university and community organizations. Alumni will find the center inviting, as its design incorporates space for everything from group meetings to casual conversation around the fireplace.
The Illinois State University Alumni Center is designed to serve the over 177,000 alumni of Illinois State University, current students, faculty/staff, and the Bloomington-Normal community. Approximately 80 staff members from the University Advancement Vice President’s office, Alumni Relations, Development, Marketing and Communications, and the Illinois State University Foundation are located in the facility.
In fall 2007, during Illinois State University’s Sesquicentennial, renovations began on the University’s first on-campus home for alumni. The Illinois State University Alumni Center was dedicated in July 2008 and opened to all Redbirds and friends.
