It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call “The Alt Ac Career,” the place in which historians (and many others) work outside the classroom. Join Dr. Anna Reser for a journey into the twilight zone of historical practice, where two hands write one book, voices strange float on the airwaves, and new publications emerge from the ether. Discover what’s possible when you stop thinking about doing history and start doing it scared.
Not a historian? Not a problem. Dr. Reser’s background includes scholarship in the fine arts, humanities, and social sciences. We want to generate interdisciplinary conversation! All ISU Faculty and Students are welcome!
