Emotional and Social Intelligence

Wednesday, June 28, 2023 , 1:00 pm 3:00 pm CDT

We often put the well-being of others before our own. Certainly, this is necessary because it is deemed inappropriate to bring our personal problems into our professional roles. It is also important to acknowledge and address our own emotional state to prevent it from becoming worse. This session is focused on improving self-wellness and personal resiliency. Participants will learn to gauge their emotional state in high-pressure situations.

Course Objectives
Learn to better recognize their own emotional state and how to change it positively.
Gain tools to better de-escalate high-pressure situations.
Look at cultural diversity through a new lens.
Improve their implicit bias awareness and communication skills.
Learn the importance of communicating empathy towards others.
