Preventing Accidental Drug Poisoning: Narcan Training
This drop-in training is 45-60 minutes in length and provides information about:
- Opioids, fentanyl, and the growing number of fake pills in distribution
- What happens when a person experiences an accidental drug poisoning.
- Ways we can help prevent accidental drug poisonings.
- How to care for a person who is experiencing a poisoning.
- Local efforts to reduce accidental drug poisonings and provide support to individuals who actively use substances and their families/friends.
Individuals who complete this training will also be provided with Narcan, Fentanyl Test Strips, and a CPR face shield, if they would like these items.

Health Promotion and Wellness, 187 McCormick Hall, will also distribute Narcan and Fentanyl Test Strips during drop-in hours, beginning the second week of the semester—this includes an anonymous, 5-minute training (for students, staff, and faculty).
